HL7 v2 Supplementary Pack contains artefacts supporting ITK HL7 v2 ADT Specifications. This pack contains tighter message schemas with vocabulary binding which can be used for conformance purposes. This pack also contains example HL7 v2 messages along with HTML representation of specifications derived from XML profiles of the HL7 v2 messages.

CDA Template Library
The CDA Template Library contains details of templates used in Domain Message Specifications published on the NHS TRUD website. The included Domain Message Specifications are Ambulance, Out of Hours, Discharge, Emergency Department, Outpatients, Non Coded CDA and Telehealth. The CDA Template Library offers various views on templates including - a model view, so that templates can be view in context of the CDA model - a template list, for ease of access to known templates
Child Protection Information Sharing – Domain Message Specification
Child Protection Information Sharing Domain Message Specification contains details of message definitions and interactions required to support the rollout of the CPIS system.
Please note that we are updating the Child Protection Domain Message Specification and expect to make available Release Candidate 2 via TRUD in the near future. You are advised to build against Release Candidate 2 when this becomes available.
A Release Candidate (RC) designates the document as being available for production build purposes, and available for First of Type deployment. Accreditation to this specification is available, but it should be noted that there maybe a need to incorporate minor amendments when the specification reached Issued Specification (IS) status.

NHS Choose and Book Subsets
This release pack contains SNOMED subsets that are designed exclusively for use with Choose and Book. The pack contains one subset for each Choose and Book Clinic Type and is maintained by the Choose and Book clinical leads who are members of the National Specialty Reference Group NSRG. These clinical leads represent the interests of the Royal Colleges, professional associations and referrers. Each subset contains Clinical Finding, Procedure and Situation concepts, which align with the standard categories as defined by the NSRG that are used for searching for services on Choose and Book.These subsets are not intended for any other purpose.

This release pack contains products intended to support the GP Summary Care Record, Systems of Choice and Data Migration programmes. The contents comprise: 1:1 "forward" crossmaps from the England release of READ2 to CTV3, from READ2 to SNOMED CT, and from CTV3 to SNOMED CT; experimental 1:1 "backward" crossmaps from SNOMED CT to either READ2 or CTV3, and from CTV3 to READ 2; finally, the pack contains tables assigning NHS Care Record Elements to all READ2, CTV3 and SNOMED CT codes. The tables are distributed in a non-standard file format, together with supporting documentation.

NHS ICD-10 Reprinted (with corrections and updates) 2000
This file contains data equivalent to the icd10met.txt and terms10.txt files (pre-April 2012) in the newer Delimiter Separated Values (DSV) format. Implementations of ICD-10 MUST NOT use this release, it is provided for the purposes of aiding migration between releases. Specifically, analysts working with the ToCE files without descriptions will need.

The Tooling Pack is a periodic publication of various tooling artefacts used with the domain message specifications.

- Transforms: A set of transforms used to assist in the validation of CDA messages against the published message specifications.
- Schematron: A set of xml files which contain rules to check CDA messages against errors which cannot be checked using schema files alone.
- Renderer: This is the XSLT transform used with the on-the-wire CDA XML messages to create human readable HTML versions.
- CDA Checker: This tool automates the testing of CDA examples using the published transforms and schematron.

The ITK Core is a common framework on which all ITK functional sub packs rely. It includes details of interaction patterns, acknowledgements, error handling, audit trail and security.
It includes
-Core service definitions - definitions of services which are applicable across the ITK
-Transport Specifications – messages and contents have been designed to be independent of transport. Web services are the default transport, but others such as Data Transfer Services (DTS) are also supported.
-Architecture Specifications – specifications describing the expected technical behaviours of ITK applications and middleware
-Distribution Envelope - ITK payloads are wrapped in a "thin" wrapper called the Distribution Envelope. The Envelope contains information for routing the transmission and some details about its payloads.
-Acknowledgement framework - an overview of the acknowledgements appropriate for ITK implementations
-A Trust Operating Model - describing the responsibilities of an organisation deploying an ITK solution (for example Information Governance, Clinical Safety, Governance)

NHS Interoperability Toolkit Security Requirements Accreditation and Concessions
As part of an extensive review of the ITK Architecture Specifications - during Q3/Q4 2012, a team comprising representatives from the Centre and the suppliers agreed a number of changes to the way ITK messages are authenticated. The changes reflected implementation difficulties presented by the nature of the WS-Security header signing specification given current development platforms, and addressed the inclusion in ITK, of multi-hop and non-SOAP transports. Technical details on the reasons for these changes are given in ITK Security Briefing Paper – Strawman Proposals.
The concessions discussed here will form part of the intended refresh and update to the ITK Architecture Specifications planned for completion by 3Q2013.

NHS Interoperability Toolkit Spine Mini Services
Spine Mini Services specifications define interaction with NHS National Services (Spine). This includes, for example, services that allow interaction with the Personal Demographic Services (PDS).
It should be noted that those vendors needing to become Spine compliant as part of their overall SMSP offering will need to follow the NHS CFH Common Assurance Process (CAP) to receive their Spine compliance certification. Only those vendor products that have successfully completed CAP will be able to retrieve Patient Demographics Service (PDS) data directly from the National Spine

NHS National Laboratory Medicine Catalogue
The National Laboratory Medicine Catalogue is intended to be the first comprehensive catalogue of Snomed CT coded Laboratory medicine test requests for use by Pathology services and their users across the NHS. It should be noted that the National Laboratory Medicine Catalogue is Technology Preview as defined by the UKTC. This means that trial implementation is encouraged to evaluate utility and safety, and to identify possible design improvements, live deployment is at the users own risk, where such risk is permitted by other governance processes. Implementations may have to change if and when the product design changes in the light of experience. In the event that the product is found to be only minimally used or useful, or unsafe, then UKTC is under no obligation to continue its support or maintenance.

OPCS Classification of Interventions and Procedures (OPCS-4) releases - Codes and Titles, Metadata and Table of Coding Equivalences files. Includes the DH High Cost Drugs and DH Chemotherapy Regimens and associated guidance provided by NHS Classifications Service.
NHS OPCS-4 eVersion
OPCS-4 eVersion is composed of OPCS-4 content and eViewer. This electronic product provides an alternative to the OPCS-4 manuals. The eVersion also includes annotation, powerful search tool and email functionality as well as an easy to follow integrated user guide.
NHS Query table and SnoGraph tool
This package contains SnoGraph software and Query table to facilitate implementation of inactive concepts in SNOMED CT. The SnoGraph software is an open source application that was built on top of NetBeans platform and Neo4j graph database. SnoGraph provides flexibility for users to generate query table the entire SNOMED CT or any given concept. The transitive closure table without inactive concepts can also be generated by SnoGraph. The Query table is a transitive closure table with extension of historical relationships. The query table enable exclusive data retrieval regardless of inactive and active concept status in data or query definitions.

The Pathology Bounded Code List, formerly known as the Laboratory Messaging Subset, has been developed to provide a defined or bounded subset of Read codes for use in lab to GP messaging. Use of the Pathology Bounded Code List will ensure that there is common understanding by both sending and receiving clinicians of the laboratory investigations performed.

These are only available to Approved Apprentice and Experienced Clinical Coding Trainers. These files are free of charge to all registered clinical coding trainers. These will be superseded by the Clinical Coding Training Materials v10 when they are released in April 2012.

SNOMED CT International Medical Devices Technology Preview
The SNOMED CT International Medical Devices Technology Preview is aligned to the July 2012 International Release of SNOMED CT, and is based on content from the Global Medical Devices Nomenclature (GMDN) of October 2011. The GMDN has been made available for use by the IHTSDO further to the harmonization agreement between the IHTSDO and the GMDN Agency in 2012.
This Technology Preview is the culmination of the first project phase of the overall IHTSDO Medical Devices Project. Planning is now being initiated for subsequent project phases, with the goal of eventually delivering medical devices content supported by a concept model in SNOMED CT. Consultation on the design and population of this concept model will begin in Q4 2012 and the project team will welcome your feedback and comments at this time (feedback contact details to be confirmed as part of this process).
It should be noted that the SNOMED CT International Medical Devices Technology Preview is intended for content validation and implementation testing purposes, and is not recommended for use in clinical systems.
